New Ming Tien Restaurant sits within the bustling food court scene at Bandar Sunway, offering a straightforward, no-frills spot for breakfast and local Malaysian favorites. Its location on Jalan PJS 11/28a makes it a convenient pitstop for early birds and office crowds nearby, as well as visitors heading to the nearby shopping pyramid who need a quick, hearty meal.

The atmosphere here is typical of a busy kopitiam-style food court. Expect a functional, casual setting where the focus is clearly on the food rather than fancy decor. It’s a place where locals drop by at different times of day — from breakfast seekers looking for comforting bowls of Ipoh Chicken Rice or Sarawak Laksa, to those ordering larger portions of Wantan Mee or Nasi Lemak to fuel their day.

In terms of the menu, New Ming Tien shines with a mix of Malaysian staples that lean heavily on variety and value. Portions here are generous; dishes like the fried garlic Wantan Mee and pan mee soup come in sizes that satisfy big hunger without stretching the budget. Prices hover around the RM9-10 mark for many popular options, making it a practical stop for anyone mindful of price but unwilling to skimp on taste.

The diversity on offer—from Char Kway Teow and Indian Claypot Rice to Salted Fish Fried Mee Hoon and Lamb & Chicken Satay—reflects the local preference for variety in one convenient spot. This mix appeals to both families and workers who want to share dishes or switch up their usual meals. There’s also an interesting blend of local and regional influences, hinted at by menu items like Tomyam Seafood and the mention of a central kitchen helmed by skilled chefs, which helps keep the quality consistent across the varied offerings.

Parking is a practical bonus here, especially later in the day when nearby spaces free up after business hours, making it easier for after-hours visits. The overall pace is comfortable rather than rushed, suiting those who want a decent meal to start the day or a casual lunch without fuss.

New Ming Tien suits anyone looking for a local, affordable food court experience with reliably big portions and the kind of everyday Malaysian dishes that form the backbone of neighborhood eating. Breakfast lovers and lunchtime regulars who appreciate straightforward flavors and a steady supply of traditional favorites will feel right at home here.

lesser of heirs to ming tien name. good for after-hours free parking near the pyramid. only kopitiam in hood, with double-barrelled taichow action. one each local and thai, latter by way of myanmar. sweet-and-sour oink over rice was good, and hit spot. kam heong fried rice rates as ok, having missed mark.

Amazing kopitiam with loads of food optiom- pan mee, chee cheong fun, chicken rice, bak kut teh, classic pork noodle, nasi lemak, baos. Understand from this lady boss that she has a central kitchen with top chef to cook. Honestly good food , cheap prices!

I have tried 4 different foods here and overall I will say they are quite good and the prices are very fair especially the nasi lemak. As pictured, you can see that the plate is loaded and it was only RM9! I was expecting to pay about RM13 since I normally pay RM9 for mixed rice that has an egg, some veggie and meat. Even the curry CCF below was only RM10, and I took so much I had a little trouble finishing it. Both were really tasty IMO. The pan mee was RM8 for small yet it was huge. It was pretty good too. The mixed rice was RM10 a plate and they were fairly tasty. Overall Ming Tien is a recommended place to eat, an economic alternative just next to Sunway Pyramid
